VELVET
CARE AND MAINTENANCE

If the velvet fibers appear flat, it is suggested to use a steamer to raise them. When a steamer is not available, a damp (not wet) cloth can be applied on the area overnight, which will restore the fibers. It is recommended to treat the entire surface to avoid color differences. Velvet must not be rubbed vigorously, as this may damage the fabric and color. Do not iron the velvet.

Always treat stains promptly. Sponge the stain, never rub. A gentle blotting action with an absorbent cloth or sponge is most effective. Work inwards from the outside edges to avoid spreading the stain.

Blot up wet or oil-based spills quickly with an absorbent cloth, tissue or sponge.

For solid or semi-solid spills, lift off excess before treating, using a dull knife or spatula.

If the stain has already dried, gently brush off any excess material, then dab gently with a damp cloth or sponge until it disappears.

No upholstered furniture should be in direct sunlight (outdoor textiles have high UV/light resistance and are approved for sun exposure).

OUTDOOR
CARE AND MAINTENANCE

For cleaning the upholstered surface, first try to brush off the dirt gently. If this is not enough then vacuum the surface. If further cleaning of the padding is needed, a stain remover is recommended. The cleaning has to be gentle and must always be tested on the most invisible area of the surface before the actual cleaning.

Avoid blotches by gentle, circular rubbing towards the stain. To avoid stains, quickly remove the dirt with a piece of absorbing household wipe and clean with water and colorless washing-up liquid.

The outdoor performance of the recommended upholstery and interlayer membrane will protect the filling of the furniture and keep the drying time after rain to a minimum. During rough weather conditions, like snow, hail, or storms, it is however recommended to store the Pacha Outdoor Sofa inside or to cover it. Under no circumstances place the furniture in permanent contact with water (e.g., inside shallow pools). Use a rain cover when the furniture is not in use. A customized cover for the Pacha Outdoor Sofa can be purchased additionally at GUBI.
