
Logistics Manager

About the Position:
We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join us in a crucial role overseeing logistics at GUBI. This position offers an opportunity to make an impact by optimizing our logistics processes and developing strong partnerships with our 3PL providers. The ideal candidate will be driven to innovate, grow, and lead, while contributing to the evolution of our logistics operations. This is a central role within the organization, with frequent daily interactions across multiple internal and external functions. The position sits within Operations and reports to the COO.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Logistics Management: Play an important role in overseeing inbound and outbound freight, ensuring efficient transportation of goods across GUBI’s global network.
- Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic 3PL partners, focusing on improving service levels and exploring cost-effective solutions. Drive QBRs, conduct partner performance and KPI analyses and report insights to managemen.
- Innovation Advocate: Stay abreast of the latest logistics technologies and trends, actively championing innovative ideas and strategies that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cost Optimization & Budgeting: Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies across logistics operations while maintaining high service quality. Manage freight pricing structures, build annual budgets, and conduct regular follow-ups against targets.
- Negotiation & Deal Making: Skillfully negotiate terms and rates, ensuring value for both GUBI and our partners with proactive follow-ups to keep the logistics pipeline flowing smoothly. Conduct root-cause analyses and implement preventive actions with partners.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data analytics to track logistics and partner performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement to both externally with partners and internally at GUBI.
- Leadership & Team Collaboration: Possibility to lead, mentor, and develop a skilled logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Encourage team members to share innovative ideas and contribute to process enhancements.
- Clear Communication: Coordinate with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally; clearly and consistently communicate product availability updates, delivery timelines, and expectations.
- Alignment Across Teams: Ensure alignment of contracts, pricing, compliance changes, policies, and service level agreements across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics or operations management role, preferably within an asset-light and international environment. Experience within a similar industry is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of global transportation modes, including air, sea, rail, and road.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, import/export compliance, and their operational impact.
- Demonstrated experience managing 3PL partnerships and logistics service providers at a strategic level.
- Proven ability to lead cost optimization initiatives while maintaining high service quality.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
- Experience working in cross-functional, international environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with logistics or ERP systems is an advantage.
