Designed and named in homage to the architectural traditions of ancient Greece and Rome, the tables of the Epic Collection are characterized by their monolithic silhouettes and materiality. Where the interior iterations are crafted from travertine or steel, the Epic Outdoor Table takes a new material direction, exploring the mesmerizing visual expression and impressive durability of quartzite.
A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY
The Epic Table is the result of a shared journey of discovery into stone and steel. A quest for the archetypal origins of these material’s use in design and architecture ran alongside an in-depth study of different colors and finishes, before lengthy experimentation with proportions, weight and form revealed the harmonious balance between base, geometry and tabletop in the final product.

RoundQUARTZITE: STORIES IN STONE
The variety of quartzite used is distinguished by its dark green hue, threaded with black veins, gray swirls, and scattered white crystal clusters. Thanks to the way the stone has been formed over millennia, each Epic Outdoor Table has an individual expression – no two pieces are alike. Every shift in tone or veining pattern tells its own story about the actions of the Earth and the formation of the stone.
TRAVERTINE: A NATURAL BEAUTY
The Epic Table is a celebration of Italian travertine stone, in response to the growing desire for the honesty and authenticity of natural materials. The exquisite details in travertine comes from the stone’s organic formation influenced by hot springs and limestone caves over thousands of years. With its captivating veining, lively texture, and distinctive patina that evolves with every use, travertine brings a touch of timeless elegance to any space.
STEEL: AN INDUSTRIAL EXPRESSION
Originally made in italy from travertine stone, the table’s steel edition marks the first time Gamfratesi has worked with steel plates, which are galvanized, lacquered, and then treated with a series of hand-finishing processes to create a unique surface expression for each table.
