Sometimes life seems to go by in a blur, and we lose ourselves in the midst of daily routines. While life feels like it’s on ‘fast-forward a peaceful home environment can give ample opportunities to press ‘pause’ anytime in the day.
CALM AND SERENE MORNINGS
A LOW-SLUNG SEAT TO MEDITATE
As you wake up and take in the soft morning light, take a few deep breaths in a low-slung seat. This is a great place to gather your thoughts and start your day with meditation to calm the mind. This simple practice will take less than a minute, and create a serene and peaceful place in your home for you to start your mornings.
DONT RUSH BREAKFAST
Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day, and one you don't want to miss out on. Instead of inhaling a smoothie at your desk, scrolling through emails with one hand, and scrawling your to-do list with the other, take a different approach. At GUBI we recommend brewing a fresh cup of coffee or tea paired with fresh pastry, the Danish way. Most importantly, indulge your breakfast in a comfortable setting, perhaps by sitting on clouds in the Pacha lounge chair or by taking in the morning sun in your outdoor MR01 lounge chair.

Once you’re ready to take on the challenges of the day, open up your laptop and feel cradled by your chair’s soft cushioned shell as it absorbs your every movement. As you are powering away with work, or whatever, your heart desires, make sure to take micro-breaks between tasks to improve your focus. Everyone now and then simply lean back, take a deep breath, stretch your arms out above, and feel the moment of mindfulness.
While sitting in a haze of work and strenuous daily life a taste of oxygen is essential in staying productive and enjoying the day. Do this by either opening up your windows or simply going for a short walk with your favorite music or a thrilling podcast. At GUBI we love to enjoy the outdoors and highly recommend, if possible, having a quiet chair and table set up outside to truly soak in new energy.

LIGHT UP THE MOOD
As your productive day is winding down, and the sun starts to hang low it is important to surround yourself with cozy lighting. While strolling around your home or office, having a portable lamp to help set the mood is important to remain in a calm and soothing environment. Portable lamps are great as they require minimal effort, there are no cords and you yourself choose the setting by yourself.
As you have clocked out and can finally take the evening off cozy up to a movie with some popcorn or snacks on the sofa or in a comfortable lounge chair. Once again having a soothing light next to you is important to stay awake throughout your evening cuddles.
KICK BACK, FEET UP
The last of the evening light disappears, and as everyone heads off to bed, steal away one last moment for yourself. Sink back in your favorite lounge chair, and kick up your legs on the matching ottoman. We recommend having a floor lamp next to your lounge chair, this way you can read a good book in a dimmed light. Wind down for the night and set yourself up for the sweetest dreams - there’s a whole new day tomorrow.
