Sales Manager, DACH

About the Position:
The Sales Manager, DACH is a hybrid commercial role working across both the wholesale and contract business in the DACH region. It is vital that the Sales Manager possesses a thorough understanding of the dynamics of wholesale and especially the contract business. This includes a strong network within the A&D community and the key business sectors (hospitality, residential, workplace, etc.), and among the local contract dealers.

 

The Sales Manager role is firmly anchored in our new sales strategy and its implementation. Specifically, the role focuses on strengthening and expanding relationships with our local wholesale partners on both a strategic and tactical level, while simultaneously building a robust contract pipeline across the region through a strong network of architects, designers, and contract dealers.

 

Reporting to the Sales Director, EMEA, the Sales Manager role is cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with Customer Service and Marketing at HQ.

 

Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working with sales, ideally within the design or furniture industry.
- Proven track record of developing and scaling a market or region through strong local presence and brand activations.
- In-depth understanding of retail business mechanisms and proven experience supporting and growing physical retail.
- A strong network within the A&D community and contract dealer landscape in DACH.
- Proven ability to develop and execute commercial partner plans that drive measurable results.
- Advanced skills in working with Salesforce as a CRM and pipeline management tool.
- Experience working in dynamic, international environments with cross-cultural collaboration.
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data, generate insights, and translate findings into actionable business plans is an advantage.

 

Key Responsibilities:
- Continue to develop and refine our focus partner model across our wholesale partners to ensure a structured and commercial approach to retail in DACH.
- Play a vital role in growing existing wholesale partners through focused annual commercial plans including an optimized product mix and effective campaign implementation.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual business performance meetings with our key wholesale partners to track sales performance and review marketing campaigns.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with A&D professionals and contract dealers to achieve the outlined pipeline targets.
- Collaborate closely with contract dealers, through a key account management approach, ensuring the GUBI brand and products remain top-of-mind.
- Develop and implement best practices for contract dealers and A&D offices regarding meeting cadence, product training, and engagement etc.
- Conduct regular sales training to enhance product and brand knowledge across key segments including wholesale partner staff, A&Ds, and contract dealers.
- Day-to-day communication with local partners and stakeholders to ensure consistent commercial traction in the region.

- Ability to travel up to 10-15 days per month across key markets and cities within the DACH region.

 

 

Language Skills:
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication in German and English.
- Intermediate communication skills in French are considered a plus.
