Product Development Intern

About the Position:
Are you passionate about product development? Are you highly proficient in 3D-drawing? Are you interested in sustainability research within the furniture industry? Would you like to work in a dynamic and fast-growing design brand environment?
GUBI has the perfect internship for you. We are looking for a dynamic and organized student to join our Product Development team. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development processes across both lighting and furniture categories. You will report to the Head of Product & Development and collaborate closely with a skilled team of product developers and our Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Coordinator.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Design Engineering or Product Design
- Interest in technical aspects and knowledge of various materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong drive to learn and grow in the design and furniture industry
- Highly organized, proactive, detail- and deadline-oriented, with the ability to successfully handle multiple priorities
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Key Responsibilities :
- 3D drawing in SolidWorks
- Support in the review of prototypes and pre-production series to perform quality control and approval
- Conduct research on design, materials, and products
- Assist in creating and maintaining master documentation in GUBI’s ERP system and reporting to designers
- Support ESG coordination and sustainability-related activities
- Take on ad hoc tasks related to product development
