Design by GamFratesiThe Bat Dining Chair is created with a Scandinavian approach to crafts, simplicity and functionalism by Danish-Italian design-duo GamFratesi. The embracing shell with armrests equally embodies both aesthetics and comfort while carrying strong references to the interesting and distinctive shape of a bat’s wingspan. The wide range of shell colours, upholstery options and diverse bases provides for a personalised expression that makes the Bat Dining Chair fit perfectly into a variety of public and private contexts. Due to its unique design, the textile of the fully upholstered Bat Dining Chair can be changed with time to give the chair a different expression and new life to the interior decoration.
The Bat Chair is available in a wide range of configurations, making it suitable for diverse settings. From the classic Dining Chair in multiple shell colors and bases, to the fully upholstered version that allows the front textile to be updated over time, the design encourages personalization and longevity. The Outdoor edition adapts the same iconic form with UV protected materials and optional outdoor upholstery, while the Meeting Chair introduces a height-adjustable swivel base tailored to the modern workplace. Together, the Bat Chair collection offers a cohesive design language that moves effortlessly between private, public, indoor, and outdoor environments.
Gamfratesi
GamFratesi has been working with GUBI since the inception of their studio and the development of the Beetle Chair. With their own dual heritage, Italien Enrico Fratesi and Danish Stine Gam share GUBI's ability to synthesize seemingly opposing ideas - the classic and the contemporary, the intellectual and the sensual, the understated and the expressive, the manufactured and the unique. These juxtapositions, as well as the boldness and curiosity that drives their desire to find inspiration in unfamiliar territory, are epitomized in the Beetle.
