GUBI x BONACINA

Bonacina 1889 has shaped the story of rattan for more than a century. Founded in Brianza - Italy’s celebrated center of furniture making - this legendary Italian house has woven its legacy through collaborations with visionaries such as Gio Ponti, Joe Colombo, and Tito Agnoli. Together with GUBI, this living heritage steps into the present, united by a shared devotion to rattan as both craft and art form.

TITO AGNOLI

For many the name Tito Agnoli is synonymous with rattan. Over the course of his collaboration with Bonacina, Agnoli developed a rich and varied portfolio, taking full advantage of the brand’s status as the leading center of rattan craft in Italy. From chairs and loungers to stools and tables, his rattan pieces combine comfort and pragmatism while showcasing the full gamut of craft techniques: bending, binding, weaving, and more.
