REFINED MODERNIST MATERIALITY
Designed by legendary Italian architect Tito Agnoli in 1964, the P3 and P3S capture the elegance and clarity that defined Italy's postwar design renaissance. The P3 Lounge Chair offers a light, upright posture ideal for relaxed conversation, where as the P3S Chaise Longue invites near-horiontal repose - a graceful balance of geometry and softness. No two pieces are identical; their subtle variantions reveal the rhythms of human craft.
Faithful to Bonacina 1889's archival drawings, GUBI has recreated Tito Agnoli's vision in an outdoor-friendly format. The weather-, UV-, and humidity-resistant synthetic rattan editions, in a natural tone, extend the warmth and texture of rattan to exterior settings, taking the P3 outside for the first time and making the P3S the first GUBI sun lounger.
For many the name Tito Agnoli is synonymous with rattan. Over the course of his collaboration with Bonacina, Agnoli developed a rich and varied portfolio, taking full advantage of the brand’s status as the leading center of rattan craft in Italy. From chairs and loungers to stools and tables, his rattan pieces combine comfort and pragmatism while showcasing the full gamut of craft techniques: bending, binding, weaving, and more.
