Product Development Intern

About the position

Are you passionate about product development? Are you highly proficient in 3D-drawing? Are you interested in sustainability research within the furniture industry? Would you like to work in a dynamic and fast-growing design brand environment? GUBI has the perfect internship for you. We are looking for a dynamic and organized student to join our Product Development team. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development processes across both lighting and furniture categories. You will report to the Head of Product & Development and collaborate closely with a skilled team of product developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • 3D / 2D drawing in SolidWorks
  • Support the creation and development of datasheets, quality manuals, and assembly manuals
  • Operate and maintain 3D printers for rapid prototyping and testing purposes
  • Support in the review of prototypes and pre-production series to perform quality control and approval
  • Conduct research on design, materials, and products
  • Take on ad hoc tasks related to product development

qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Design Engineering or Product Design
  • Interest in technical aspects and knowledge of various materials and manufacturing processes
  • Strong drive to learn and grow in the design and furniture industry
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail- and deadline-oriented, with the ability to successfully handle multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with 3DS Max, Fusion 360, Rhino, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, KeyShot

language skills

  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal
