GAMFRATESI

GamFratesi Studio was established in 2006 by the Danish architect Stine Gam (born 1975) and the Italian architect Enrico Fratesi (born 1978). GamFratesi belongs to the latest generation of furniture architects and together they represent a new interpretation of the meeting between Danish and international design traditions.

A FUSION OF TRADITION AND RENEWAL

GamFratesi's design takes its creative drive from a fusion of tradition and renewal and in an experimental approach to their chosen materials and techniques. With their diverse traditional background, they draw on the classic Danish furniture and craft tradition as well as the timeless Italian intellectual and conceptual approach. Understanding a tradition and addressing it actively in the workshop makes it possible to expand on it.

A NEW EXPRESSION OF THE BEETLE

One of the hallmarks of great design is its ability to evolve. Since its conception in 2013, the Beetle has become a landmark of modern seating design, expanding across types, styles, and settings, yet always remaining rooted in GamFratesi’s nature-led vision. Now, GUBI and GamFratesi unveil one of its most significant transformations to date: Beetle Soft, a new expression that embraces volume, softness, and a less formal visual language while staying true to the iconic silhouette that made the chair a global success.

EPIC COLLECTION

Designed and named in homage to the architectural traditions of ancient Greece and Rome, the tables of the Epic Collection are characterized by their monolithic silhouettes and materiality. Where the interior iterations are crafted from travertine or steel, the Epic Outdoor Table takes a new material direction, exploring the mesmerizing visual expression and impressive durability of quartzite.
