Design by GamFratesiThe Totto Stool by GamFratesi reinterprets the timeless three-legged stool through softened proportions, tactile detailing, and refined simplicity. Rounded edges, a tray-like surface, and solid turned wooden legs create an object that moves naturally between stool, side table, and sculptural presence, while preserving the stability of the traditional archetype. Crafted entirely from FSC-certified® Sapelli wood and wood from other responsible sources (FSC® C176589), the compact design balances warmth and intuitive functionality. Available in natural Sapelli and dark-stained Sapelli finishes, Totto highlights the individuality of the wood through natural variations in grain, tone, and texture, giving each piece a distinct expression and bringing warmth, tactility, and an understated presence to contemporary interiors.
THE WARMTH OF SAPELLI WOOD
Totto is crafted from Sapelli wood, chosen for its warmth, durability, and richly expressive grain. Its natural tones bring tactile richness and a grounded warmth to the design. GamFratesi selected natural Sapelli and dark-stained Sapelli finishes to highlight the individuality and depth of the wood, while allowing the stool to develop a richer character through use. Variations in grain, tone, and texture give every Totto a distinct expression, reinforcing the material’s natural authenticity.
Gamfratesi
GamFratesi Studio was established in 2006 by the Danish architect Stine Gam (born 1975) and the Italian architect Enrico Fratesi (born 1978). GamFratesi belongs to the latest generation of furniture architects and together they represent a new interpretation of the meeting between Danish and international design traditions.
