Stay Lounge Chair with Slipcover
Design by Space CopenhagenIntroducing a softer, more informal layer to the Stay Collection, expanding its sculptural comfort into a relaxed, lived-in expression. The slipcover brings to life an idea embedded in the collection from the beginning. Crafted from stonewashed linen, the slipcover brings depth, tactility, and subtle variations to the surface. By adding a removable textile layer, the silhouette gains a new sense of ease and flexibility, supporting use across a wide range of private and shared environments.
Where textile sets the tone
With the Stay Slipcover, textile becomes the defining element of the design. The material is selected for its depth, tactility, and natural character, crafted in woven linen with density and weight to ensure durability, yet responsive in the way it moves and settles. Rather than aiming for a polished surface, the textile is allowed to express its inherent softness and irregularity, reinforcing the slipcover’s lived in quality. A carefully balanced blend preserves the linen’s authenticity while enhancing strength and performance.
Space Copenhagen
Established in 2005 by two graduates of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ School of Architecture, Signe Bindslev Henriksen (born 1973) and Peter Bundgaard Rützou (born 1966), Space Copenhagen is a design studio working across multiple disciplines. Having grown from just the two of them into a diverse and dynamic team of architects and designers, Space Copenhagen has taken on a huge variety of global design and interior projects over the last two decades. Its output encompasses furniture, lighting, and refined objects, as well as art installations, art direction, and interior design for private homes, hotels, and restaurants.
