Stay Bed
Design by Space CopenhagenDesigned by Space Copenhagen for GUBI, the Stay Bed brings the sculptural softness and embracing comfort of the Stay Collection into the bedroom. The Stay Bed features a curving silhouette and an integrated headboard that gently curves around the sleeper. Its singular, continuous pencil stroke shape feels soft, organic, and distinctly contemporary. Fully upholstered, the visible material is solely the chosen textile, defining its final expression: darker tones emphasize sculptural definition, while lighter shades create a softer, more cloud-like appearance. The design strikes a balance between simplicity and sensuality, offering a timeless centerpiece that brings harmony to the bedroom. Available as a double bed, it suits both private homes and hotel interiors, combining presence with inviting comfort.
A STRONG VISUAL STATEMENT
The bed’s structure consists of five core components and slats, designed for easy assembly and long-term stability. Fully upholstered, it can be customized in a range of textiles - from textured bouclé for a more tactile look to smooth wool or cotton blends for a cleaner, more minimal aesthetic. The design features a high headboard that emphasizes the Stay Collection’s inviting character, creating a strong visual statement.
Space Copenhagen
Established in 2005 by two graduates of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ School of Architecture, Signe Bindslev Henriksen (born 1973) and Peter Bundgaard Rützou (born 1966), Space Copenhagen is a design studio working across multiple disciplines. Having grown from just the two of them into a diverse and dynamic team of architects and designers, Space Copenhagen has taken on a huge variety of global design and interior projects over the last two decades. Its output encompasses furniture, lighting, and refined objects, as well as art installations, art direction, and interior design for private homes, hotels, and restaurants.
