ESG INTERN
GUBI is a modern design company that offers a wide variety of luxury furniture, lighting, and interior objects for both residential and commercial settings. Our global brand has a strong presence, with headquarters and a showroom located in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of ESG Intern in our Product Development team.
About the position:
You are passionate about sustainability, and you possess excellent organizational and communication skills. You have a strong desire to drive positive change within our organization. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in various ESG-related tasks, including Certification Tracking, Compliance and Regulations, Carbon Footprint Analysis, Life Cycle Assessment and conducting new Sustainable Materials Research.
Key Tasks:
• Assist in Certification Track:
- FSC, GreenGuard, OEKO-TEX, Cradle to Cradle etc.
- Follow certificate requirements with other stakeholders.
• Assist in Compliance tasks:
- CSRD, UN Global Compact, EU Taxonomy, EUDR.
- Organize and assist in renewing certificates and test reports.
- Update documentation in GUBI system.
• Carbon Footprint Analysis:
- Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs).
- Report on Carbon Emissions.
- Communicate with stakeholders.
• New Sustainable Research:
- Conduct research on sustainability topics, including circular economy, responsible sourcing, and sustainable materials.
- Assist in the development and implementation of ESG strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Passionate about sustainability and have a strong desire to make a positive impact.
- Knowledge of sustainability concepts and principles such as circular economy, responsible sourcing, and sustainable materials.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in sustainability, environmental science, product development, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with business-level English proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of ESG principles and sustainability practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and quick to learn new software.
- Interest in Product Development and/or Furniture industry.
