Reales Pattern is a bold evolution of Reales, a durable 100% cotton fabric handcrafted in Italy exclusively for GUBI. Created in collaboration with architect Michele De Lucchi and his Milan-based studio AMDL Circle for the Bistra Collection, the design features a rhythmic interplay of hand-drawn black lines that form a dynamic yet harmonious motif. It takes inspiration from the ceiling painted by Leonardo da Vinci in the Sala delle Asse at Milan’s Sforza Castle, which is adorned with a dense network of interwoven foliage. Reales Pattern translates the graphic lines of the design into a two-dimensional textile form, creating visual continuity between structure and upholstery. The hand-drawn style embraces the spontaneity and imperfection of a pencil sketch, lending the fabric an authentic, artisanal character. A subtle shadow layered beneath the weave adds quiet depth and dimension to the motif. The fabric is available in three distinct colorways: vibrant orange and green on beige for a lively, expressive look, silvery gray on dark olive green for a more architectural tone, and soft beige-on-beige with gray nuances for a calm, refined aesthetic. Each palette celebrates the botanical identity of the Bistra Collection, bringing a fresh, expressive accent to any interior.
