Vanity Wall Mirror
Design by GamFratesiThe Vanity Mirror Collection is GamFratesi’s second wall-mounted mirror design for GUBI. The collection comprises three variations - with one, two and three mirror panels, respectively. The design’s defining features are its warm walnut veneer and brass hinges. These allow the angle of the mirror to be adjusted, influencing the perspective it offers and the play of the light in the room.
The collection takes its inspiration, and its name, from the vanity-table mirrors of the 18th century, which typically featured three adjustable mirror panels connected by hinges, allowing the viewer to admire themselves from multiple perspectives. In its Vanity design, GamFratesi reinterprets one of the key functional elements of this - the hinge - in a contemporary context, thereby creating a modern design that preserves an aesthetic link to the past.

GamFratesi has been working with GUBI since the inception of their studio and the development of the Beetle Chair. With their own dual heritage, Italien Enrico Fratesi and Danish Stine Gam share GUBI's ability to synthesize seemingly opposing ideas - the classic and the contemporary, the intellectual and the sensual, the understated and the expressive, the manufactured and the unique. These juxtapositions, as well as the boldness and curiosity that drives their desire to find inspiration in unfamiliar territory, are epitomized in the Beetle.
