As a Product Developer your primary tasks will be to handle the technical development phase for new furniture projects. You will be assigned to conceptualize the best manufacturing processes in agreement with competent international suppliers, and subsequently take ownership to provide technical support across the organization.
Inside GUBI, all new furniture projects are overseen from the beginning by a structured multidisciplinary core team. You will own the product side, having the opportunity to demonstrate your technical skills as well as your understanding of technology, craftmanship and quality.
You will also be part of the constant product improvement program, including sustainability product upgrades.
- Drive a successful development of assigned projects, including project management
- Determine product specifications, including technology, technical drawings, quality, and product data
- Be part of the core team working to secure a successful, on-time product launch that meets our quality and craftmanship standards
- Coordinate design activities, as well as prototyping, quality standards compliance, ergonomics, and product documentation
- Research in archives, market, technologies, design, and materials.
- Trained in Product Design, Product Development, or the like, which gives you the necessary technical understanding and knowledge in furniture, technical drawing, craftmanship, materials and manufacturing processes
- Proven experience of developing products from start to finish in the furniture industry
- Proficiency with SolidWorks. Autodesk 3ds Max and ADOBE Suite is a plus.
- Experienced in project and stakeholder management – also dealing with external partners such as suppliers and consultants
You speak and write English fluently and have previous experience from an international environment
